Meet Our Group
B.J. Crowder
B.J. Crowder has been singing Gospel music since he was saved at age 13. Throughout his high school years, he sang in many local churches and recorded his first album in Nashville at age 14.
After graduating high school, he attended Oakland City University on a full music scholarship. He joined Earthlight, the university’s traveling Gospel group, his freshman year. They went on to record two albums in Nashville and traveled the East Coast, opening for The Isaacs, The Hoppers, Legacy Five, and many others.
After graduating, he joined the Crossroads Quartet from Bedford, Indiana. After the group retired, he taught music in public schools and sang solo for many years. He joined By Faith about four years ago.
Nadine Meredith
Growing up, Nadine loved singing and whistling with her dad. She has always been shy and never liked the idea of standing out. It wasn’t until she became a Christian that she was led to start singing. Nadine Meredith grew up in a small town in Southern Indiana. She attended Paoli High School and played trombone in the school band. Nadine still resides in Southern Indiana with her husband of 20 years and is the mother of 2 wonderful children. Her husband, Tony, runs the sound for By Faith. Nadine became a Christian at age 18 but didn’t start singing till age 23. She had sung solos at church and with many different people along the way — the praise team, duets, trios, and the Manship family.
MaryAnne Wilson
Mary Anne developed a love for singing at a very young age while singing gospel songs with her father. She sang for many years in the church choir where she learned to sing harmony. She traveled to Southern Indiana, Kentucky, and parts of Illinois with her church praise and worship team. For many years this joy was forgotten about until her spirit was stirred up and a longing to sing praises to the Lord sprang up once again. She chased Allan Jr and Nadine down in the parking lot and said "Can I please sing something with you right now." A couple of years later, By Faith was looking for a singer, and as they say, the rest is history.
Allan Jr. Manship
Music has always been a big part of Allan's life. His family heritage has influenced him in so many ways. His musical talent covers everything from singing to playing instruments. His career in music started when he was very young. When he got saved, his passion for singing gospel music grew and became a huge part of his Christian walk. He started by leading the congregational singing in the church he attended. From there, he began to sing solo at churches and events around the community. He met Nadine Meredith, another member of By Faith, through singing at the church, and they became good friends.
Singing solo, in a trio, and now in a quartet, Allan's love for 4 part harmony is now his true passion.
